Our first week back at the nursery in 2026 has been a really nice one and a great way to start the year! 🤍
We welcomed a new starter this week and took things gently as everyone settled back in after the break. There was no pressure to jump straight into busy routines – just a calm, relaxed start to the term. The children settled well, enjoyed being back together, and it was lovely to see them so comfortable in the setting again. And of course, I really enjoyed seeing their smiley faces! 😍
The snow made the week feel extra special. We spent time talking about it, and enjoying the change in weather. We also did lots of fun activities indoors, keeping things cosy and relaxed, it's been so so cold outside!
I managed to get on top of admin this week too, which always feels like an achievement, and we’ve also signed up more families for a 2026 start, which is really exciting. We are now properly busy from April, and I'm so grateful! 🫶🏼I’ve registered to attend the Childcare Expo in London as well, and I’m looking forward to learning new things and bringing fresh ideas back to the nursery. 🤍
The children slept really well throughout the week, which showed just how settled they were. And on a personal note, I made sure to find some time to enjoy a spa evening with my husband!
